I used to think the idea of being a taxi driver was quite fun.  Getting paid to sit in a car all day, driving around, listening to the radio and giving your views on the world to your fare paying passenger.

You never have to get our your seat, there’s no heavy lifting involved, and you get paid to sit in traffic. Brilliant.

Then I thought about it. You have to go and pick people up. I’m too lazy for that, what a rubbish job.

I’d like a job where I did all of the above minus picking people up and driving them about.

Then I saw it…. yesterday… driving around…. the van that drives around Aberdeen (and presumably each city has a few of these) displaying adverts. These vans have no purpose other than to display adverts. They don’t carry any goods, they don’t have a destination, they just drive around all day.

And the only qualification I’d need is a drivers licence?  I have one of those.

Who needs school/college/university.

I’m now, however, a bit concerned this blog post and it’s highlighting about my attitude to life.

P.S. To any prospective employers that might ever read this post, I am of course being sarcastic. Unless that employer is the people that employee those advertising board van drivers, in which case, when do I start?
