the ramblings of a bored man
10 Jul
Heavy rain expected for T in the Park this weekend. If it’s anything like the rain I experienced today walking in to work (some 90 miles north of Balado) then I feel sorry for the festival goers (Emma included).
Actually, I don’t feel that sorry. There was a chance I may have been going. That’s not happening anymore. I don’t want to sound bitter, but I will be enjoying the festival from home on TV. (or maybe even in bed, watching on the Ipod Touch via the BBC IPlayer - greatest use of technology ever).
Might be going to see a bit of Stonehaven Folk Festival instead. You don’t have to camp there. Instantly better!

Rockness - Who Can Beat It? by CapnOats’ on Flickr
Emma and her friends are off to Rockness tomorrow morning to partake in a weekend of live music and camping.
On being asked by one of her friends during the week “do you not wish you were going David?”, the simple answer was “no!”
As much as a like live music, drinking outside and uncooked food from burger vans, it’s the camping the puts me off. I’m a little bit scruffy, but even I couldn’t cope with 3 days of no showers, shared toilets and a lack of electricity.
So Emma and co, I’ll be thinking of you on Sunday morning when I contemplate getting out of bed to go and have a shower in my nice, warm, dry, clean (ish) flat.
